Created specifically for the 2006 Super Bowl, the Detroit Super Bowl XL Host Committee will join business, community, political, and economic resources from throughout the region for a common goal - to showcase a revitalized Detroit when the world comes to our living room.
The Host Committee consists of a 43-member Board of Directors and a full staff to handle the day-to-day operations. The Host Committee serves as a liaison between the NFL, the City of Detroit and other sponsoring parties.
The Detroit SBXL Host Committee has a seven point plan, which reflects feedback from our local leaders to ensure the success of Super Bowl XL.
Seven Point Plan:
- Foster Relationships for the NFL.
- Raise funds/measure success.
- Integrate community programs.
- Create and support special events.
- Advocate for services/development in the region.
- Promote metro Detroit as a destination.
- Deliver a positive guest experience.
